Renowned for the quality and variety of walks available, Perthshire is also blessed with an abundance of mature woodland to edge its lochs and rivers.  The Fortingall hotel is an excellent base for many of the well known walks in the surrounding area, including Schiehallion, the Falls of Achern and Ben Lawers.  For Munro-baggers there are seven spectacular Munro mountains to conquer, very close to the hotel.

In our library we have a collection of OS maps and reference books for use by our guests and the hotel manager, Roddy Jamieson, is a keen hill walker who can provide information and useful tips.  Delicious, healthy packed lunches are available for your walk from the kitchen, on request.
