Can I bring my dog? We have a small number of dog friendly rooms at The Fortingall. Please book as normally through the website and state in the Additional Information box that you will be bringing a dog (max 2 per bedroom). If your booking cannot be accommodated we will be in touch within one working day. If you prefer you can contact us before you book.  We hope you understand that dogs are not permitted on beds or furniture, so please bring a dog bed with you. Whilst we don’t charge for dogs, we do need to charge for any damage or stains at full replacement cost. Dogs are permitted in The Ewe pub but not in the restaurant or drawing room.
Do you allow children in bedrooms? Children are welcome at The Fortingall. We have three bedrooms where child beds can be made up, with a maximum age of 15 for a child. In addition there is a sofa bed in the Suite for up to two children. Please select the relevant bedroom rate, at checkout.
Do you have car parking? Yes, we have parking, which is free for customers.
Do you have Electric Vehicle chargers? The Fortingall has two Monta 22kw tethered pedestal chargers with contactless Pay-as-you-Go. They are available for everyone to use, whether you are a staying guest, lunch guest, or a passer by (in which case you will be welcome to have a drink or meal in The Ewe pub or Restaurant at The Fortingall whilst you wait). Simply scan the QR code on the charger to get started. First time use will prompt you to download the Monta App.
Which payment options do you accept? We accept Visa and Mastercard only. Sorry, we don’t accept cash, American Express, or other card types at this time. If you don’t have Visa or Mastercard, let us know and we can arrange a bank transfer.
What are your cancellation terms? For bedrooms, our terms are: Cancellations in excess of 30 days in advance – full refund. Cancellations within 30 to 8 days – 75% refund. Cancellations within 14 to 1 days – 50% refund. Cancellations on day of arrival (or no show) - no refund. If you book through fortingall.com, you can amend your booking more and the above cancellation fees will only apply to any reduction in the price. Amendments are only permitted more than 3 days in advance of arrival. For the restaurant and pub, please cancel your booking 24 hours in advance.
Do you have disabled access? For the Restaurant and pub, yes there is wheelchair access. All the hotel bedrooms are upstairs and sorry there is no lift. The stairs are average incline and there is a handrail.
Staying at the hotel
Is breakfast included? Yes, all our bedroom rates include breakfast.
Do you have any outdoor clothing available to borrow? For hotel guests, we are able to lend green Barbour wellington boots (we have one pair of each size from UK 4-12, European 35-45, US women 6 to men 12) and four waxed jackets from size small to extra large.
Can I rent a bike? Yes, we have 5 Mondraker Prime electric mountain bikes. You can find out more and book via our Experiences page.
What activities do you offer? Whilst many guests will be happy relaxing in front of the fire with a book from our library, for the more adventurous we have a range of activities available on the estate including salmon and trout fishing, Land Rover tours, Deer stalking, wild swimming, a guided hike (or unguided), clay pigeon shooting, and picnics. It’s best to book well in advance as all experiences and activities are subject to availability. Several are bookable online, others need to be booked through the reception desk. Find out more on the Experiences page.
What are your check-in and check-out times? Check-in is from 3.00pm until 10.00pm and check-out is from 08.00am until 10.00am. You can leave your bags with us outside these times.

What do the bedrooms include? Apple TV, Nespresso coffee machine, Roberts Bluetooth speaker/radio, desk or writing table, salon quality hairdryer, luxury toiletries, yoga mat, Anbôise bathrobes and bed linen.
