Whether you’re in search of a short ride with your family or monster day in the saddle of your lightweight touring cycle, the stunning countryside around Fortingall has everything for the serious, and not-at-all serious cyclist.

Fortingall hosts cycling groups for the annual Etape Caledonia event each May, as well as for other local events plus touring parties cycling around Scotland, including many from overseas.

Bike hire and repairs

The hotel is bike-friendly – we have a selection of mountain bikes and some tourers for guest use, together with helmets. Our range includes a mix of adult and junior bikes. A modest hire charge usually applies.

The hotel has a floor pump with fittings for Presta and Schrader valves, plus a small stock of inner tubes and puncture repair equipment. We can also assist you with running repairs to keep your bike on the road.

Bike storage and security

Fortingall Hotel is able to provide secure, dry, overnight storage for guests' bikes, which means you can rest easy knowing that your bike is safe.

Bike Wash

There is also an external water tap plus spray, buckets and sponges available, so you can wash and rinse your bike at the end of each day.
